Magnificent Splendour

Magnificent Splendour is a relatively grotty port town with little to recommend it, save that a wide variety of recreational activities – many frowned upon elsewhere – are available. For a price.

Most of the town’s essentials come from trade with the natives on the island. A dozen years of access to the depravities of civilisation have taken their toll, though, and the natives are a sad and pathetic shadow of their former savage glory. Many are to be found littering the streets of the town, begging for enough coin to afford one more fix.

Much of the business in town traces connections to the Whispers Ninja Clan and their Master, White Shadow. He has been stockpiling funds for a number of years now, towards some goal he has never seen fit to disclose to his subordinates. Some of his Clan believe, though, that his grand scheme has become something of an obsession.
